This post is going to be a little silly and very picture heavy.
I really love death knights. I often make new ones just to run through their starting experience again. I always knew there were plenty of books in the Scarlet Enclave, but I never bothered to read them because leveling was more important. I decided to do something different this time.
My most recent DK was born because of the Coin of many Faces. I often use this during raids and one of the combos was super cute. I decided I wanted a DK that looked like that all the time, and Mel was born.
What does any of this have to do with Scourge texts?
Well, as it turns out, Mel was a research mage in her previous life. She was fascinated by books and spent more time in libraries than anywhere else. Being drafted to fight in Northrend by the Kirin Tor was a disaster for all involved. Mel was much better at being a librarian than working magic because she tended to read romance novels instead of practicing. That whole dying horribly thing really sucked. She hadn’t finished the last chapter of Northern Exposure yet!
Once Mel revived, she fell back on her old habits of searching out books. Archerus did not disappoint, though the subject matter was kind of dry. No romance at all. Still books are books, and she was appalled by how they were being stored. Don’t stack your books on the ground, kids! Especially if there are rotting ghouls and rats nearby. Mel rescued the poor abused books and brought them with her to Stormwind.
This is her collection from the Scarlet Enclave.
The Decree of the Scourge
Account of the Raising of a Frost Wyrm
Compendium of Fallen Heroes
Report from the Frontlines: Dragonblight
One Truth in Undeath
Hopefully this was fun to read. I had fun typing it all up. There are more hidden things like letters in the Scarlet Enclave too, but I decided this was long enough as is. Mel has already run off to the Stormwind library because she had no patience to dig the letters out of her bags anyway. She has to know what Marcus and Tavi get up to next!
